Bobby Mason Taylor, 81 passed on Saturday January 25, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Bracey, Va, Bobby met his beautiful wife LaBinda, of 59 years in Newport News, Va and had 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Bobby was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1967. During his time serving, he received a Marksman badge, Good Conduct medal and a National Defense medal.
He was employed with the Newport News Shipyard from 1963 to 2006 in the X43 Outside Tooling Machinist department where he was known for creating tools necessary to run nuclear equipment.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Ada Lee Kinker Taylor and Ernest Mason Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Mildred Johnson and Sally Flach, half siblings Ernest Lowndes, Elvin Taylor, Rodessa King, one great grandchild Karlei Alaya Taylor and son in law Anthony Levy.
Left to honor his memory are his wife LaBinda Hefner Taylor, their son Woric Bedford Scott Taylor (his children Terri Lambert & Candace Taylor), Susan Taylor Levy (Tiffany Johnston & Blake Johnston), Angel Taylor Eutsler her husband Brian (Hunter & Reagan Eutsler & Katelyn Eutsler), Tina Taylor Bell her husband Chad ( Breann & Nick Hutter and Amber Bell & Jacob Coe). He is also survived by his sister Mary Lee Baker and husband GW, brothers, Billy Taylor, Jimmy Taylor and wife Nancy as well as numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grand nieces.
Family and friends are to be invited to a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
